#epson #ecotank #review On today's episode of Talk Sh*t Mondays, I dive into the Epson Ecotank series printers. They're great in the sense of refillable tanks, but they now come with an even more sinister pain in the ass than ink cartridges. Printing industry, you've done it again! Epson Ecotank, for reference (DON'T BUY IT FFS): https://amzn.to/2NekgOe A lot of folks have asked what printer they should buy; short answer is you're not going to find a perfect printer. Every single one out there is either going to be unreliable, have Wi-Fi issues, expensive ink, or a 'toss me in the ocean' feature. For photos, just go to a print shop/CVS - no hassle! That said, if all you need is black and white, here's a decent cheap laser printer: Brother HL-L2340DW: https://amzn.to/2VXDU5B Emphasis on the cheap - it will probably still crap out on you, but you won't be as sad because you only spent $120 instead of $300. An important note for this one: it has some dumb feature called "deep sleep" that you should turn off. I found this procedure on Amazon: "How to turn off deep sleep (I didnt write this but copy it here in case you don't wanna go look for it): Use arrow buttons to scroll through menu choices... Go to General Setup then OK Ecology then OK SLEEP TIME then OK While sleep time is display push Down Arrow and BACK at the same time! Then press OK. DEEP SLEEP on/off toggle by Arrow keys OK to SAVE Deep Sleep off." Disclaimer: These are all just like, my opinions, man. Disclaimer II: I'm an Amazon affiliate.
